Through some strange quirk of circumstance, I’ve ended up with a physical copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition. It’s been a long time since I’ve actually had to use my PC’s disk drive. Ah, the days of PC games coming on six or so CDs... Man, they sucked. Still, there was a certain satisfaction to having to do more than simply click a button on Steam and wait.
Through a still stranger quirk of circumstance, it would appear that I actually own physical copies of every single Dragon Age game. That never happens any more!

I own physical copies of all Dragon Age games. Though, since my DA:I is on XboxOne, it’s a single Bluray and not MASSIVE DVD SPAM.

I also have the fancy editions of all Mass Effects, but I think my 2 and 3 are somewhat unpacked and out of order.

The massive DVD spam is where the charm comes from!
(I’ll never be getting them out of the box again, though, since now I’ve activated it I can just download it from Origin like a normal person.)

Same here! Shame my ME1 box is kinda fucked up—I think it got messed up in the loft, or something.

The thing I’ve got that’s biggest in DVD form outside the ME series is Lost Odyssey. Lots of cinematics, that one - 4 DVDs. KotOR II has four ordinary CDs, of course, and KotOR I had at least three.

KotOR? Yup, same here. Two’s my favourite, though, ‘specially with the restored content mod.

The what now? I haven’t heard of that mod.

It’s quite something. They took the cut content Obsidian left on the disk, polished it up, repaired all the gaps, and then released it. It took years. The most recent release is here:

If you’ve any affection for KotOR, you’d be remiss not to check it out.

Hmm. I might have to try tht out. It’s a pain getting them to work on a modern PC, but might be worth a shot.
